Saachi Gallery

On September 10th I went to the Saachi Gallery in London, where they were showing an exhibiton on young upcoming artists and photographers. Here are some of the pieces of art work that really caught my eye as well as some images I shot on my phone whilst walking around London.



In the piece above, the photographer shot portraits of refugeesof which she blurred to hide their identity and explored their story within written text they had written themselves in a small frame next to the image. I really enjoyed viewing this piece of work as it made me feel extreme empathy for the refugees, learning about their stories and what they had to undergo and learnt that the as well as the blurred and distorted images, the photographer used thread sewn onto the images showing their journey when escaping.
